Active and Passive Range of Motion

The ability to perform most movements and skills successfully depends largely on the range of motion of an individual. The individual's flexibility should be greater than the movements of the activity or sport requires in order to minimise injury.

If flexibility is compromised, it will hamper the individual's ability to perform the required skill.

Being flexible is also an injury prevention strategy as most sports and activities lead to muscle tightness through repetitive use. Ultimately this often results in muscle strains and tears.

A carefully monitored and progressive stretching program will help combat the problem of muscle tightness.

We offer a multitude of stretching programs to assist individuals regain flexibility and general ability to move more freely and without discomfort.
